Nevus can be removed for two reasons:
For aesthetic purpose or risk of malignant cancer.
If there are symptoms of cancer such as marginal irregularity, growth, asymmetry, discoloration and different colors, wound opening, nevus should be removed by leaving a safety margin and pathological examination should be performed.
Pathological cancer type and depth determine the continuation of the treatment.
